Travel guide of County KerryI photographed the Skelligs - rocky outcrops in the Atlantic off the coast of County Kerry - from Saint David’s Bay on the mainland. I chose my viewpoint to get the three rocks in the frame and used a 400mm lens to achieve the foreshortening effect. Skellig Michael - the largest - was the site of an ancient monastic settlement and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is also now famous for featuring in the last two Star Wars movies.

A week ago friends and I went on a little roadtrip to the West of Ireland. We’ve seen so many different and beautiful scenic spots that I simply have to call it the best weekend I had here in the country.

Conor’s Pass on the Dingle Peninsula in Ireland is one of the most scenic routes on the Wild Atlantic Way. At one of the parking spots there is a hidden lake on top, which you will only see climbing up the rocks. Even on a foggy and rainy day like ours it was amazing and so serene!

The Ring of Kerry has some of the most beautiful countryside I have ever seen. My wife and I visited Ireland for our honeymoon, and we were lucky enough to spend two nights in Killarney. This photo was taken during a walk we took around Muckross Lake, not far from our hotel. I’m not sure which was more awesome, the view of the lake and surrounding mountains, or the fields full of wild red deer to our backs in this photo.
